Project Overview – Perkins Open Type Diesel Generator – For Jordan
Target Power Generators recently shipped a 18 kVA Single Phase Perkins Diesel Generator to Jordan. The client opted to work with Target Power Generators because the client worked with our director Daniel Arnett at a previous company. Our client in Jordan knew they where going to get looked after on price, lead-time and receiving a quality generator.
Application: The generator will be installed on board a ship in Jordan, serving as emergency power in case of a power outage on the ship.
Project Details:
Perkins Generator For Export
The client required an 18 kVA single-phase, prime-powered diesel generator. The generator had to be an open type with a 10-hour base fuel tank to support the generator running for 10 hours at 100% load.

Selecting the Right Engine for Generators for Export:
Our client requested a Perkins engine because of its reliability and fuel efficiency. Additionally, spare parts are readily available in Jordan. The 404A engine was coupled with a Mecc Alte alternator, which is also renowned for its reliability.
Compact Open Type Generator:
Our client needed a generator with a small footprint due to limited space on the ship. This required us to alter the generator base frame to achieve this. We mounted the control box on top of the alternator, which helped save dimensions.
With the generator being an open type diesel generator, it was relatively easy for us to reduce the footprint. Because air flow wasn’t a factor.
Providing Constant Power Solutions:

The generator was shipped LCL (Less than Container Load), which is a shared container, saving the customer time and money. We packaged the generator well, using foam and thick plastic wrap to avoid damage.
