What Else Can A Off Grid Electric Generator be Used For?

Off grid generators are used for any scenario where the application isn’t connected to the national grid. This could be agricultural applications, where power is needed to barns, workshops and fences. The off grid generators are also used on construction sites, to power cctv and well fair units 24/7.  A very common off grid application is for homes, due to the high cost to connect to the mains grid, many customers choose to purchase a diesel generator, solar, batteries and sometimes wind turbines to have their own electric supply.

What Size Generator Do You Need For Off Grid?

We recommend sizing the generator to double the size of wattage the inverter produces. So for example if you are using a 1000w Victron inverter, we would recommend using a 2000w / 2kw generator. This allows enough power to cover the load requirement from the application, and enough power to cover recharging the batteries, if there is not enough from the solar and or wind.

Silent Off Grid Generators

Off the Grid diesel generators are typically quieter than traditional diesel generators. This is because these generators run for longer periods of time compared to standby generators. So producing less noise pollution is key.
