Generators For Agriculture
We offer you the most reliable brands, such as our own brand, Target Power Generators, Pramac Diesel Generators, Compact Ferbo Generators, and Caterpillar Diesel Powered generators. If you are looking for a petrol generator to use around your farm, we also have you covered. We stock quality Kohler SDMO and Loncin petrol generators.
Looking for small agricultural generators?
If you require a small diesel generator, we suggest the Pramac portable diesel generators. What makes them perfect for agricultural use is they have various 110v and 230v socket options, meaning you can easily hook up your equipment. They can also come with a wheel kit, making it easy to transport the generator around your farm.
We can also supply you with diesel bulk storage tanks from 500L to 30,000L.
Looking for the best agricultural diesel generator?
With over 25 years of experience in designing and manufacturing generators, and with our directors’ family having over 100 years of farming experience, we can guide you to the right product to suit your farming requirements.
Silent diesel generators and portable diesel generators are typically the best agricultural generators because of their diverse usage and plug socket connections, meaning they can power a multitude of agricultural machinery. However, we can also supply open set generators if this is preferred, allowing for a cost effective option compared to canopied generators.
We can supply you with diesel generators that work with 1PH, 3PH and split phase.
What are agricultural generators – multiple usage
From irrigating fields to storing produce, and from powering machinery to lighting barns, the role of electricity in modern agriculture is paramount. Target Power Generators Ltd ensures that even in the most remote fields, power remains consistent, fuelling growth and harvests.
Farm Diesel Generator For Sale
We have a range of 6kVA – 500kVA diesel generators which we recommend for farming use. These sets can be used for various applications such as powering machinery, standby use, farm house backup, and powering barns. The prices range from £4000 to £50,000 excluding installation, depending on your farming requirements.
Selecting the best engine for your generator
Perkins engines and Yanmar engines are typically the go-to when selecting an agricultural diesel generator, because of their longevity and reliability. We can also supply engines from the likes of Cummins, Volvo, Scania & Doosan.
What size generator do I need for my farm?
A farmhouse would typically require a generator that produces 5kW. Small farms might need anything from a 10kW to a 50kW power generator. The power generators are used to power lighting in barns, small machinery such as welders, irrigation systems, dryers, and bailers. A large farm would require a generator that could produce 100kW upwards. These sets provide power to corn dryers, large bailers, barns, chicken coops, water pumps, and more.
What is the cheapest fuel for a generator?
For continuous periods of running, we recommend using diesel. Some diesel engines can run on biofuel, HVO, which is more expensive than diesel fuel; however, it provides longevity to the engine and is fully biodegradable.
