What is the power rating of a 20kva diesel generator?

A 20kVA diesel generator is typically rated at 20kVA prime power and 22kVA standby power. 20 kVA generators can be rated at 400v three phase or 230v single phase.

At 400V three-phase, a 20kVA generator will produce 29A and 86A at single phase 230v.

A 20kVA generator produces 16kW of usable power at a power factor of 0.8.
