Construction Site Generators

When it comes to on-site power generators, you need equipment that can consistently meet your demands without fail. Target Power Generators offers a range of models from trusted brands like Kohler SDMO, Pramac, Loncin Generators and CAT™ generators ensuring your job site remains powered. Job site requirements often call for varying power capacities from your on-site generator. Construction site generators typically use 110v sockets, 110V tools are commonly used on construction sites because their lower voltage presents less risk of electric shock if a tool is damaged or a wire is cut.

Power Supply: Construction site generators are designed to deliver electrical power to run various tools, machinery, and equipment used in construction, such as electric saws, drills, welders, compressors, lighting systems, and more. They come in a range of power capacities to meet the specific needs of the job.

Portability: These generators are typically mounted on a skid base, a portable frame or trailer for easy transport and mobility around the construction site. They’re typically compact and portable.

Fuel Options: Construction site generators can be powered by various fuels but the most common type of fuels are Petrol and & Diesel, due to their ease of accesbility.

Rugged Design: They are built to withstand the harsh conditions of construction sites, including dust, debris, and exposure to the elements. The construction of these generators often includes heavy-duty frames and protective enclosures.

Rental Specification: Construction site generators are typically built to UK rental specifications. Meaning tbey meet all the safety standards youd might expect. Furthermore the engines are typically Stage V emissions compliant and produce low noise levels. Rental petrol generators are housed in a sturdy frame, which protects the generator from any damage it may incur on site. Rental diesel generators are housed into super silent canopies to reduce noise levels, and are typically mounted on trollies making them extra portable. Because Loncin, Pramac and Kohler SDMO generators are perfect for rental applications, we use them in our own petrol and diesel generator hire fleet.

Voltage and Phase Options: Depending on the equipment used on the construction site, generators can provide single-phase or three-phase power at various voltage levels. Most construction site generators have multi socket options, to cover a vast array of equipment.

Safety Features: Construction generators are equipped with safety features such as circuit breakers and ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) to protect against electrical hazards. They also often have low-oil shutdown mechanisms to prevent engine damage.

Remote Start and Monitoring: Some modern construction generators offer remote start and monitoring capabilities, allowing operators to start and monitor the generator from a distance using a mobile app or remote control.

Noise Levels: Noise emissions from construction site generators can vary, but quieter models are often preferred in residential or noise-sensitive areas.

Sizing: The size and capacity of the generator should be chosen based on the specific power requirements of the construction site. It’s important to calculate the total power demand to ensure that the generator can handle all the tools and equipment simultaneously. Maintenance: Regular maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and overall inspections, is essential to keep construction site generators running smoothly and reliably.

Compliance: Depending on the location and regulations, construction generators may need to meet emission standards and noise regulations. Compliance with local codes and permits is essential. The current compliance for portable and mobile generators is Stage V.
